A plumber who is also the heating engineer

A plumber works on the water supply, drainage, taps, toilets and bathrooms. A heating engineer works on boilers and central heating. Ian is both, and Gas Safe registered as well, so a leak under the boiler, a dripping tap and a cold radiator are one phone call.

How it works

From the call to the fix

  1. Describe it

What is leaking or not working, where it is, and whether the water is off.

  2. Ian gives a time

He says when he can get to you and gives you an idea of the cost. If water is coming through, say so when you ring and he'll see what he can do.

  3. The fix

Most small jobs are done on the visit with the parts on the van. Anything specialist is ordered the same day.

  4. Tested

Run, checked for leaks and left tidy.

Bigger jobs

Bathrooms and kitchens

Because Ian is NICEIC registered as well, a bathroom or kitchen refit doesn't need a separate electrician for the shower, the extractor fan, the lighting or the appliance sockets. The pipework and the electrics are done by the same person.

He is also an approved installer for Magnet kitchens.
